Neutron är en helt ny drake från Flexifoil. Det är drake som är gjord för att vara mycket prisvärd. Det är en drake som passar många seglare. Detta är draken som fungerar för såväl nybörjaren som den mycket erfarna seglaren. Föregångaren till denna drake var förra årets Atom08, en drake som skulle vara lite enklare och passa såväl nybörjaren som den mer avanserade seglaren....dock stog det snart klart att både nybörjare och teamseglare uppskattade Neutron....kritikerna var dessutom eniga om att denna drake erbjöd mycket mer prestanda än vad Flexifoil själva angav....resultat....drakarna blev nästan lite för bra....:)
Å Neutronen är inte alls sämre....utan förbättrad....en drake för allt från nybörjaren till hard core vågseglaren......:)

Något som jag själv uppskattade väldigt mycket då jag började köra på Flexifoils drakar är att man bara kan släppa bomen mot knuten så bara står dom där......du kan plocka upp brädan eller för nybörjarenär det skönt att man inte behöver passa draken ständigt......eller på annat språk: väldigt stabila och balanserade....

För att få ned priset har Flexifoil  jobbat mycket med att minska antalet paneler för att få ned produktions kostnaderna.....men givetvis är det bra rent kostruktionsmässigt då det ger en stark drake på samma gång.....bra för den som riskerar att mangla draken genom Torös elaka vågor....(jag t.ex.)....jo....jag (Henrik)...kommer att köra med denna linje.......

The Neutron is available from March 2009 in five sizes – 3m, 5m, 7m, 9m, 12m and in four different colours. The kite is supplied as a 4-line kite running on 20m lines. 5th-line and 5m extensions are available as an upgrade. The kite is available either complete with bar and lines or kite only.

The kite works great for freestyle tricks due to it’s solid power. It has great depower and snappy turning making the kite great in the waves, and has numerous safety options available for the beginner and intermediate rider. The Neutron delivers a great ride whether you’re into freestyle, freeride or wave-riding.

Rock solid - stability
The front loaded aerofoil keeps the power in the front of the kite. In gusty conditions, it’s nose drives forward keeping the kite in the sky - this makes the Neutron very forgiving for beginners, and a confidence booster when flying in challenging conditions.

Direct and fast turning
The hybrid design delivers a progressive, predictable feel throughout the whole turn. The feedback you get though the bar enables you to know exactly what the kite is doing at all times, so you can concentrate on riding.

Boost with smooth predictable float
The powerful profile together with moderate aspect ratio plan-form, provide a well balanced bar pressure which makes the kite forgiving and easy to feel – getting jumps dialled is simple. Within its normal wind range sending the kite results in big jumps with outstanding float.

Simplicity through design
This hybrid design kite uses two high quality Riley Pulleys in the bridle to give great depower range. These have been designed to work in tough marine environments. The kite is also fitted with the EZ-Pump system and the flying lines are colour-coded to offer a fast, easy and safe set-up straight ‘out of the bag’.

Setup Options, 20m or 25m / 4-line or 5-line
The standard set-up for the kite is with 4-line mode on 20m lines. This gives a great balance in keeping the kite close for good controllability, good speed on the water and excellent high end wind range. To extend the low end wind range of the kite, or have a larger wind window we offer upgrade 5m line extenders, to take it to 25m lines. The kite is configured so it can also be flown with a 5th line (5th-line pack available as an optional extra). When you are using the 5th line option, novices will be able to relaunch the kite with ease and have added confidence which the 5-line safety system offers.

Quality built-in
The leading edge tube is made from Dimension Polyant 175gm Dacron. This is the most expensive Dacron on the market, and our testing has shown it is more stable (lowest bias deformation), most durable (the resin keeps the fibres bonded together longer, and the yarns have highest breaking strength, so has the best tear strength). By using this fabric it produces the most accurate Leading edge when compared to the designed shape, which helps keep the kites performance over its life time, (crashing in the water with inferior Dacron’s can lead to stretching of the fibres and deforming kites with reduced flight performance).

Safety First
The Neutron primary release is simple to use and dependable. The system kills 90% of the power in one fast action. The kite comes down at the edge of the window ready for relaunch. This is a proven safety system which is used on all other Flexifoil water kites. We believe that it’s the best system available on the market for ease of use , reliability, and ease of re-assembly – possible even when it’s underwater!

Neutron Bar System
Borrowing technology from our Ion3 range, the Neutron Bar is simple, effective and comfortable. You can trim the kite with ease whilst riding. The Bar pressure give great feedback without being too heavy on your arms making for a comfortable session. The centre line and leader lines are all easily adjustable, meaning no matter your size you’ll be able to set the bar up to suit. A number of parts of the bar are also upgradable meaning that as your ability grows you can customise the bar to suit.
